Terms of Service

Welcome to TempVC. By inviting the TempVC bot to your Discord server or using its features, slash commands, or controller interfaces, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please remove the bot from your server or stop interacting with it.

1. Permitted Use & Account Grant

TempVC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the bot's features in Discord servers where you possess the necessary permissions to authorize third-party applications.

You represent and warrant that:

• You will configure the bot responsibly using the provided administration tools (e.g., /setup, /config).
• You will maintain the permissions and safety of your own server members.
• You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).

2. Prohibited Activities & Conduct

To ensure service reliability for all servers, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:

• Abuse & Spamming: Spamming slash commands, button interactions, or joining/leaving channels in rapid succession to bypass API rate-limiting safeguards or cause bot latency.
• Name Manipulation: Utilizing the /afk reason or temporary voice channel renames to host harmful, abusive, harassing, self-harming, or illegal content. TempVC operates a content filter that blocks forbidden patterns, and attempting to bypass this filter is a direct violation of these terms.
• Exploitation: Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, hack, or exploit vulnerabilities in the TempVC bot or its hosted databases.
• Unauthorized Claims: Bypassing the built-in Claim timers through scripts or automated means to disrupt channel ownership.

3. Service Uptime & Liability Disclaimer

TempVC is written in Rust, optimized for high performance, and operates at enterprise-grade scale. However:

We are not liable for any lost communication, deleted channel history, server disruption, or data loss caused by gateway outages, Discord API changes, hosting provider failures, or bot maintenance.

4. Enforcement & Termination

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability, to block, blacklist, or terminate access to TempVC for:

• Individual user accounts violating these Terms or Discord's community rules.
• Entire Discord guilds that promote hate speech, self-harm, harassment, or illegal content.
• Developer-only command executions (e.g., blacklist operations, system reboots) to secure the runtime environment.

You may terminate this agreement at any time by kicking the bot from your server. All corresponding server configurations will be automatically deleted from our database.

5. Modifications & Contact

We may update these Terms of Service periodically to reflect bot features, security upgrades, or changes in laws. Continued use of the bot after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
