Your privacy is our absolute priority. This Privacy Policy details what data is collected by the TempVC Discord bot, why it is stored, how we protect it, and how you can exercise full control or request complete deletion of your information.

Data We Process & Store

To provide automated voice channel management and persistent user preferences, TempVC stores a minimal set of identifiers in a secure database. We do not store messages, voice recordings, IP addresses, or personal identity details.

How Data is Used

The collected data is strictly utilized for the functional execution of the TempVC service:

Automating Room Settings: Applying your preferred room name, region, and user limits when your temporary channel is created.
Permissions & Privacy: Managing who can view, connect, or speak in your channels based on your public/locked/hidden modes and block/trust lists.
AFK Handlers: Providing short-lived auto-replies when you configure /afk.
Server Management: Allowing server administrators to audit changes made to their voice configuration.

Data Retention & Automated Deletion

We implement automated background routines to prevent data bloat and ensure stale information is purged regularly:

Voice Channel Deletion: The moment all users leave a temporary voice channel, it is deleted from Discord, and its state is removed from memory cache.
Synchronized Purging: Every 60 seconds, our background task scans the database. If a guild is no longer accessible or a temporary channel is deleted directly via Discord, its records are cleared permanently within 1 minute.
Leaving a Guild: If the bot is removed (kicked/banned) from a server, all configurations and history relating to that server are deleted.

Security & No Third-Party Sharing

We enforce strict security practices to keep your data safe:

No Selling or Sharing: We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any advertising networks, third-party companies, or external services.
Encryption in Transit: All communications between Discord gateways, the TempVC bot process, and the database are encrypted using industry-standard TLS protocols.
Access Controls: Database credentials and server access are restricted only to the core engineering team for maintenance and debugging purposes.

How to Request Data Deletion

To request immediate, manual deletion of all your stored preferences from our systems, please join our Discord Support Server or email our developer team at hamza1790269@gmail.com.

Additionally, you can clear data yourself by:

Clearing trusted/blocked list buttons on the controller interface.
Resetting your AFK status by sending a message in a channel.
Asking server moderators to run /setup recreate or remove the bot, which purges server history.
